I'm home! I had such a wonderful time visiting my sister in Alaska and going to my niece's baby shower! I definitely over packed and brought way too many jackets, though, as the weather was actually rather nice! But, better to be prepared instead of cold! You never really know what the temperatures will be at this time of year. My family and friends there were anxiously awaiting spring but knew they still had several more weeks of unpredictable temperatures. I didn't see any moose this trip, unfortunately, though in the summer they like to sun themselves on my sister's front lawn. I did, however see several bald eagles and they are always a stunning sight! I think one of the most beautiful things I saw were the mountains between Anchorage and Kenai. It is amazing how God has sculpted the landscape of our world! The picture above was taken in Girdwood (with my iPhone) at the top of Ayeska ski resort. We stopped there for lunch as we drove from the city to her lovely log home on the peninsula. From this vantage point we see Turnagain Arm and the stunning Chugach Mountains. I'll share more later, but now it's time for you to share!

Glad you had a lovely trip to Alaska! I would probably have frozen to death. ha. I get cold in Alabama. But maybe one day I'll put on all the warm clothes I own and take a trip there myself. It looks SO beautiful.
