As Jesus followed the road, which led into the city on this day many centuries ago, He knew exactly what was to come. He knew of the expectancy in their eyes.  He knew of the the somber celebration in the Upper Room. He knew of the betrayal, the suffering and the separation from God He would face. Yes, He knew...  And yet, He willingly chose that road because it was the road that led us to Him.

Today we shout “Hosanna” for our King has come! Thank you, Jesus, for loving us beyond what we can even imagine.

“Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!” Luke 19:38

May you know and see the beauty of this week as you praise the One who comes in the name of the Lord...for you!

Hosanna!

Joan

  2. Hi, Joan! Hope you had a lovely Palm Sunday and first day of Spring! As I wrote in my blog, Easter and the Holy Week are my favorite time of the year! Yet, it is also a very emotional time, as I am reminded of the great love and sacrifice that Jesus made to have a relationship with us!! Thanks for sharing and hosting!! I always love stopping in to read your blog and some of the other bloggers who share here, too!

    1. Hi Ann! Yes, yesterday was a nice day. We had more rain, too! There is even some talk about northern California lifting the water rationing stipulations as the reservoirs are full, full, full! We'll see, though... I love this time of year as well - the most important week on the Christian calendar! Blessings, Joan

  7. Joan, I think that one sentence has touched all of us--that He knew what was ahead yet willingly chose it out of His love for us. How great is His love!
    Blessings in this Holy Week.

  8. I've seen the beauty is the smile of a son turning 21, in the backyard bird calls Spring wakens, and in a day long snow flurry on the first day of Spring (was hoping to get a Snow Day on Monday - but, sadly, it didn't stay). Thank you for the encouragement to be intentional about the blessings he leaves us in the daily! Shalom, Joan!

    1. Hi Maryleigh! Happy birthday to your son! Spring is a beautiful time, isn't it? Today the rain is supposed to have passed and I'll be able to get out in the garden again! There won't be snow for us!

  9. Yes, Joan, He knew. And He still knows...

This week beauty is found in Jesus, our High Priest, who knew the cost of the cross and yet, still chose it. The One who knows our weaknesses first-hand, and still saves us.

    GOD BLESS!
