“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.
They will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8

I trust you, Lord! Thank you for always being by my side.  Knowing you gives me strength and courage to face whatever lies before me.  Though I don't know my future, you do, and that keeps my mind at peace.  I will stay close to you, Lord, for I long to please you in all I do.  Help me to continue to follow your leading so that through me, others will know of your love. In Jesus' name, Amen

In His Grip,

    I love this. Living by the stream, where God's peace reigns, is just where I want to be. Thanks for linking up at #ThreeWordWednesday.

    What a beautiful post Joan. I love the peace that washes over us when we take time to be with Him.

  6. You have highlighted one of my favorite images in Scripture -- the deep roots, the quiet trusting, the well-watered soul in the midst of drought. Thank you!

  9. By staying close to the Lord and allowing ourselves to be continually "watered" by Him, we are better able to face the stresses in life. I'm so thankful that our God wants this kind of relationship with us!
