"I had only heard about you before,
but now I have seen you with my own eyes"
(Job 42:5).

Thank you, Father, for your hand on my life.  When I was younger, I didn't truly understand who you were.  But as you have brought me through different seasons in my life, my eyes have been opened to your presence.  I praise you for your strength and power, wisdom and love!  You are so worthy and I yield myself to you!

In your powerful name,

  1. That is one of my favorite verses in the Bible. I love how it took deep suffering for Job to finally have an encounter with God that changed his life. Sometimes it takes pain to awake us to our deep desire for the Lord.

This week I've been thinking about the prospect of seeing Jesus face-to-face with my own eyes - in person! Praise the Lord for the hope that this brings!!

    GOD BLESS!

  3. I love finding new favorite verses! This one is one of my favorites, too...I "discovered" it several years ago after a blessed time of seeing God do wonders in our family!

  4. So true. When I first found this verse, it was following a huge trial and then God did some amazing work in our family. It was so obvious to me that God was moving...
