The Obvious Path
"Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge him, and he will direct and make straight and plain your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6, Amplified
Thank you, Lord, that as I look to you and seek to follow your ways, you will reveal your plan to me! I don't always know why certain things happen in my life, but you do. You see and know so much more than I ever can! I am leaning in to be close to you, Lord, and trusting you with all my heart. I want to follow you as you want me to. I know that the closer I am to you, the more obvious you will make my path and so each day I come to you, submitting to your rule. There may be bumps along the way, but I am trusting you to direct my feet. Thank you for your faithfulness. Thank you for your plan for my life!
In Jesus' name, amen.

So encouraging and so well written! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThe thought of "leaning in" towards God and His Word has been a phrase that has been running through my mind alot lately...I like the idea that the more we "lean in towards Him" the more I feel His comfort and guidance, even when I don't fully understand my circumstances. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on these great verses! Have a wonderful July 4th!!
ReplyDeleteI love the Amplified version of the Bible - and these verses from Proverbs are my *life verses.* My road has been bumpy lately, full of potholes, and confusing twists and turns. Sometimes all I can do is take one step at a time. But as I do, the Lord is there, faithfully lighting the path.
ReplyDeleteGOD BLESS!
Thanks, Michelle! I'm so glad you were encouraged. I love this verse in all the translations!
ReplyDeleteI just bought my Amplified Bible version and am really loving how it goes deeper into the meaning of the original words in the text. The phrase to "lean on" really stood out to me in this as well as the last sentence which says that He will make my path plain (or obvious)! I'm excited that He wants us to truly know Him and trust Him!
ReplyDeleteI love my Amplified version, too! I just bought it last week and I've been really enjoying going deeper into the word with it! So sorry that there have been bumps in your road lately. :( But, what a great God we have! He is lighting the path!
ReplyDeleteI love that picture, Joan. Goes so well with the scripture and prayer. You have been an inspiration to me these past weeks in how you are leaning in and trusting Him. He is faithful and He is good ALWAYS. Love you. xoxo

Amen. So true even though we cannot see where we are going, we have to trust that God can and be able to follow his path for us.
ReplyDeleteIt does fill me with such encouragement to know that God has a plan and His plan is always good! I'm trusting in Him!
