I've had the blessing and honor to be chosen for the Liebster Award by Shelly Hendricks of Renewed Daily!  Thank you, Shelly!  Shelly is a wonderful blogger who shares encouragement while dealing with chronic illness.  Her love of God is evident in everything she writes!  I encourage you to go pay her a visit at her blog!  You'll be blessed, I know!

Part of receiving this blogging award is that we get to share some things about ourselves that we wouldn't normally be writing about on our blogs...ok, maybe I would be writing about these things, but still, this is fun!  Anyway, Shelly sent me some questions that I have answered below!  Oh, and please do remember to go over and check out Shelly's blog!  She is as sweet as they come and her blog is full of wonderful encouragement!  Enjoy!

1. What is your favorite color?  My favorite color is green - emerald green to be exact.

2. If you were to name one piece of clothing that describes you, what would you say? Wow...this one is difficult.  I guess I would say a goofy hat.  Not because I would ever WEAR one in a million years (in fact, I don't like hats), but because I can be silly sometimes.

3. Name one funny trait you have, that you would like others to know. Well, besides that I don't like hats, I can hula-hoop forever!  Wait!  I just read the second part of the question "that you would like others to know"!  Ah well.  I guess that is OK to share!

4. Which letter of the alphabet describes you best? and why? The letter would be "Z" because I have zip!

5. Candy or ice cream? Candy.  Ice cream hurts my teeth.  However, I'll eat it if forced!  lol

6. As a child, what did you wish to become when you grew up? I wanted to be a Marine Biologist or a writer.  But most of all I wanted to be a mom.

7. What is your favorite scripture? I have so many!  But for today I'll choose:  "You saw me before I was born.  Every day of my life was recorded in your book.  Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.  How precious are your thoughts about me, O God.  They cannot be numbered!" Psalm 139:16-17  (I just love that God knows me...really knows me, and loves me always!)

8. Tell us your favorite joke or riddle.  Well, I do have a really stupid one that would take up about 3 posts, so I think I'll skip that one.  So, I'll share my 2nd favorite:  Question:  "Why did the chicken cross the road?   Answer:  To show the skunk that it could be done!  (ha ha)

9. If you could have an unlimited storage of one thing, what would it be? Frequent Flyer Miles (does that count?)

10. What is your favorite movie? Again, I have several.  So, I'll name a few.  I like Benny & Joon (1993, with Johnny Depp and Mary Stuart Masterson), Return to Me (2000, with Minnie Driver and David Duchovny, and finally, Phenomenon (1996, with John Travolta and Kyra Sedgwick.  Note:  It has a totally different ending than you think it will).

11. What color is your toothbrush? Hang on.  I have no clue so I'm going to check... Ok, I'm back.  It is blue with a white grip.

Thank you again, Shelly, for choosing me for this!  I hope you and my other readers enjoyed finding out these 11 fun facts about me!

And now, I have the pleasure of giving a "shout out" (in no particular order) to 5 more bloggers who are busy spreading God's word in wonderful ways!  You should definitely visit these lovely ladies as well!

  5. I have learned so much about you through this post! You are a candy munching, hoola hooping, silly, zippy gal!! Hmmm...maybe, instead of a marine biologist, you should be a clown! LOL! Of course, those are all perfect traits for someone who becomes a mom!! :) Thanks for sharing and for nominating me to share, too and "pass it on"!
    Blessings!! Ann
