God's Presence
In the Quiet
“Be still, and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10
Lord, in the quiet of the morning I come to you, thankful that you see me. In your presence I feel safe and at rest. You give me peace through your wisdom and strength and you speak to me with words of love. Thank you, Lord. You are my God and there is no other! In Jesus’ name I praise you, amen.
Have a peaceful day,

It's almost as though words will break the stillness.......stay in the quiet and the peace comes.
ReplyDeleteYes...sometimes, I can sit, just wanting to talk to God but I am too busy talking to hear what He is saying back...So I sit in the quiet and feel His presence!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Joan
That's one of my favorite verses. I find strength in stillness.
ReplyDeleteYears ago when Rev was working full-time at consulting and serving our congregation full-time, which of course meant that was working loooong hours. One of our elders called and said that God had encouraged him to share that verse with my dh. We had held it close to our hearts since that day.
ReplyDeleteI agree! When we are still, His strength can be found!
ReplyDeleteIt has been a verse close to my heart as well. Whenever I feel like things are too busy and getting out of control, remembering this verse and doing what it says, calms me!
ReplyDeleteThis was a balm to my weary and hurried soul right this minute, Joan. How do you do that? <3 Heart Hugs, Shelly
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad this was a soothing encouragement to you, Shelly! God's word always is, isn't it? Love, Joan
ReplyDeleteSuch a promise! Be still and know! Thank you for sharing.

He is here with us all the time, but so often we don't realize it. But it is such a blessing to slow down and sense His presence, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Barbie!
ReplyDeleteHaving quiet times with the Lord, when we simply sit and listen, is a wonderful way to start the day! I know He loves those times, too!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Joan
Your prayers always seem to be just what I needed. Love you, friend.
ReplyDeleteI pray you feel God's presence today as you rest in Him! Love you, too!
ReplyDeleteI love that as we are still and lean into our God, He calms our stormy circumstances, strengthens, and surrounds us with His unfailing love. Thanks Joan.
