“You chart the path ahead of me and tell me where to stop and rest. Every moment you know where I am. You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord. You both precede and follow me.” Psalm 139:3-5

As I go forward in life, it is such a comfort to know you are with me. You see me, Lord, and know where I am.  You have prepared the road before me and know each turn and each fork there is. Thank you for never leaving my side! I am listening to you, Lord, and I am following your instructions. For with you I know I am heading in the right direction! In Jesus’ name, amen.

  1. Hi Ann! This is from the 1996 New Living Translation! I love Psalm 139, too. It really brings home that God is always with us and He will always love us!

  2. The last few weeks I have seriously contemplated the thought that God is both before me and behind me. What does this mean? Well, to me it means this: He went before me into the difficult days of my father's injury and subsequent passing. The Lord was there before I got there, and led me through it all. How was He behind me? On days when I was tempted to look back, and to question decisions, or regret negative thoughts, the Lord was also there. His gentle hand told me to stop - don't go back - those days were also covered by Him.

So, before me ("Don't worry about the future, child") and behind me ("Don't dwell in the past, child") - HE IS THERE.

    GOD BLESS!

  3. Yes, He gives us the strength, comfort and peace for each day! I'm so glad He has been such an encouragement to you during this time for you. Losing someone we love is always hard, but having God there to guide us helps so much!

    Blessings, Joan
