“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light" (Matthew 11:28-29).

Jesus, today I come to you burdened.  Life seems so difficult right now and I am tiredChallenges keep showing themselves all around me until I can't seem to get air.  I need you.  I need your strength!  I can't do this on my own.  Your word promises that you will welcome me when I come to you and so I come. Help me to give up control and rely on you.  Teach me how to be yoked with you and allow you to guide me.  I know I don't have to walk this road alone.  You are with me. You are strong enough to handle all my burdens.  Carry me, Lord, and give me rest.  You are my hope. Thank you, Jesus!  Amen.

  2. I'm not sure how you knew, but this was the word of encouragement I really needed to hear today. Sometimes that is the only prayer I can muster..."Carry me."

Praise God His answer always is: "I AM."

    GOD BLESS!

  7. To be carried is such a relief. So often we can try so hard on our own and get exhausted. Then, we remember that He is with us and our burden is lifted!

  8. Praying for you right now, Joan. Whatever you are going through, keep close to the Lord, as you have been doing! He will get you through this! I know when you are in the midst of despair and struggling, it is difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Been there, actually recently. But God is faithful!
    Blessings to you, my friend!!
    In His Love, Ann

  10. Dear Joan
This is my first visit to your blog and I am glad to find these verses here. Yes, what would we do without His loving yoke and gentle heart of love. Even when He teaches us He does so with grace.
    Hugs to you
    Mia
