At this time of year as Thanksgiving draws near, I couldn't resist posting on the many blessings in my life for which I am thankful!  So today, I'm linking up with Rachel at Finding Joy to share my ABC's of Thanks!  I'm also linking up with Laurie at Women Taking a Stand on this Thankful Thursday!

A - Awesomeness of God.  Every day He continues to amaze me!
B - Beauty in each day - the sunrise as I drive to work, the sun's rays peeking out from behind the clouds, the frost covering the hills by our home.
C - Cole & Chelsea, my grown children - my heart is full of love and respect for them.
D - Dining together as a family, on Thanksgiving or anytime
E - Electricity - for light, warmth, entertainment.
F - Family and friends - I am so thankful for all whom God has brought into my life.  I pray blessings on each and everyone of you!
G - God is good -- all the time!
H - Home - A place of safety, laughter and love.
I - Infinite love from an infinite God.
J - Joy - In any circumstance, throughout all seasons, my joy is in the Lord!
K - Kylah - one of our family's greatest blessings!
L - Life! Each day is a blessing from above.  I pray that my life, lived for Him, brings Him honor and joy.
M - Marriage - my husband is a gift from the Lord and I thank God everyday for the blessing of Roy in my life.
N - New neighborhood - God has brought us to a quiet and comfortable place with life and beauty all around us.
O - Outstanding doctors. Through the hands of a skilled surgeon, and the wonders of modern medicine, our daughter's heart now beats as it should.
P - Praise music to listen to on the way to and from work - KLUV & KNDL.
Q - Quiet times with the Lord each morning
R - Roy!  He gets two letters on my list.  God knew right from the start that he would be the perfect match for me.  I am so grateful for his love.
S - Salvation.  Above all else, I am humbly grateful for Christ's sacrifice for me on the cross.
T - Thanksgiving Day - to share the bounty of God's blessings with my family!
U - United States - we are blessed to live in a country with the freedom to worship as we please.
V - Vacation!  (Need I say more?)
W - Washing machines - for clothes and for dishes.  These wonderful devices make chores so much simpler!
X - Χριστός - the Greek word which means "Christ".
Y - Yo Gabba Gabba!  Those who know, are smiling now!
Z - Zephyr Point - One of the most beautiful places I know.  We are looking forward to spending several days there together with our family.

Thank you Lord, for the many blessings in my life!  Each year you have continued to provide above and beyond all of my needs!  I am continually amazed at the depth of your love. Amen.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Living for Him,

  4. Joan, I love how you were able to find something for each letter. I would have a bit of a challenge at the x, y, and z letters but you did great. I don't know what the Y means though. :)

I'm very grateful to be friends with you through blogland too. I enjoy our emails and how we can pray for one another. May you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family.

    Love,
    Debbie

  5. Hallelujah for skilled doctors!! I am so grateful for them as well. I think of my husband and his surgery for cancer -- if it wasn't for that surgeon my life would be so very, very different today. Thank you for reminding me to be thankful for doctors.

I was blessed reading your list.

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. And thank you for linking up.

    Rachel
