"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

I feel so tired, Lord. Help me to experience the peace you promise and the hope you offer. There seems to be a frantic race all around me as the days speed on toward Christmas. In addition to the hectic blur of the holiday season, the challenges I face and the obstacles along my path make me feel so drained. At this time of year, while so much is happening all around me, help me to rest in you. I am kneeling before you, Lord, placing my burdens at your feet. Thank you for the rest you give for my tired soul.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

  1. Do you see me next to you on my knees? This prayer could have come from the depths of my heart, too. Yes, may the Lord fill us up, and comfort the weary and broken places.

    GOD BLESS!

  2. I find it ironic that we most need his rest during a season that we most want to focus on him. Thank you for this beautiful prayer. I know he will answer it for all of us who are willing to ask him for rest.
